Friday 9/10/04 - Day 8

Located right down the street from the infamous Fillmore, in the heart of downtown Denver, this was a great venue for the band.

This was the last show of the western leg of this tour and they wouldn't be playing again for another week so they put it all out there tonight right from the opening notes!  I've got a sentimental attachment to the previous night's Sherbino Theater show however I have to give this performance the best of tour award.  The first night of Vegas comes in a close second because of the fantastic stage and sound system but this was more fun because of the intimacy with the crowd, a great set list, their musical performance and the overall atmosphere!

It was great to finally see a full house of dancers!

There were smiles all around throughout the evening.  Whether it was relief for being the last show or the satisfaction of a successful western tour, this was the exclamation point!

The intensity of the Viola Lee Blues tension jam is captured in these shots.  Andrew looked like he was going to burst while Tim and Kenny were both loving every second of the jam along with the crowd.  They poured every ounce of energy they had on this one and we loved every note!

After the show, we had the opportunity to wind down for a couple days thanks to the gracious invitation from Allison.  Thanks again for taking such good care of everyone!
