Break of new day...'
[Festival - Juggling Suns]

One last time to visit the Stone Pony! Before we pack the U-haul and move our home base to Colorado, I wanted to go back to the shore and see Mark play acoustic music. When I heard that Juggling was going to play at the 11th Asbury Music Awards, we decided to make the adventure a double header to squeeze in one more electic set...

I had heard through the grapevine that Juggling might win the JamBand of the Year award again and that rumor turned out to be true - of course! The big surprise of the night was the announcement of the first Lifetime Achievement presentation for the Asbury Music awards.

While Juggling was setting up, the word spread through the faithful that Mark was the winner! As the MC was thanking all the musicians and supporters behind the scene, he kept dropping hints like the award was going to the musician who puts all his focus into playing and is thinking about the next setlist... but Mark was too busy to pick up on anything so when the big moment finally arrived he appeared completely surprised!

It was wonderful to see Mark get the recognition we all know he deserves when he received that Lifetime Achievement award! He gave a quick acceptance speech after he was handed his trophy and proceeded to do what he loves to do so much - played his heart out on stage for all to see and enjoy!

With the whole band beaming from the awards presentation, their set was solid and scorching right from the Spin Song opener through the Festival closer and consisting of their classic fan favorites - Shelter, Mountain Marlane & of course a tasty Tabla Rasa!

Once again we had the good fortune of having Jerry Klause sitting in tonight. His percussive additions complement Ivan's steady groove and now that he knows the Juggling originals those accents seem to fit perfectly.

The special treat of the set was Stringbean and his harmonica sitting in for See You Again.
