By the time Juggling hit the stage on Saturday night, all areas of our Juggling nation were in the yard, ready to dance. As usual, the band delivered the goods.

The whole band seemed to be relaxed and in great spirits throughout the weekend and it certainly came through in the music which seemed to match the feelings of the family.

Bruce provided one of the best highlights of the weekend for me and several others when he arrived on Friday, broke out his acoustic guitar and started playing classic songs from the catalogs of Jethro Tull, Yes and of course the Beatles. One of the coolest moments of the weekend was after the Friday night sets around the campground when several acoustic music circles formed. I continued to be mesmerized by Bruce's ability to play that tune, whatever we would throw his way, including my ages old Juggling request to play A Day In The Life! I wish I could have heard all that was played in the other areas but I was thrilled to have the extra unscheduled acoustic set under the stars where Ivan also made an appearance on guitar. I was amazed at the collection of songs that Bruce knew not only the music to, but with the help of Jay and Sean, they could also remembered the words to some epic material like Thick As A Brick!

The big buzz on the street before Open Road was that Ivan was going to make his singing premiere! No one knew what he was going to perform but there was great anticipation for the moment and he did an outstanding job on a song that was quite different from anything else in the Juggling repertoire. I think the song is called Gypsy Woman and I'm not sure of its origins but here's a sample of our special treat along with a clip of 008...
