After a week of driving, with day stops in the Black Hills and Glacier National Park, we crossed the Canadian border to begin the 2000 mile drive up the Alaska Highway to Anchorage. There isn't much along the road, except little pit stop villages, but the scenery was beautiful with the fall colors in full bloom against the snow capped mountains.

The best part of the drive was our wildlife encounters... I captured pictures of a Caribou and some Stone Sheep along the road side, but I was sleeping when Pattie saw a mountain lion cross the road in front of her.
